For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.
Dear brothers and sisters,
Greetings from Jerusalem!
I am pleased to present to you our second Israel newsletter! I thank you for your prayers. In this letter I added a column in which I will present a site in Israel with a short explanation about it, photos, references from scriptures and more. May the grace of the Lord be with all of you!
Meet Felix, A Student From Rwanda Living In Jerusalem:
In the beginning of October, Apostle Paul visited Jerusalem and introduced brother Felix to me, who is a fellow Rwandan. We met near the campus of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The meeting was very interesting and intriguing. Felix Rubogora is currently a student at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem where he is pursuing his Masters Degree in Glocal (combination of Global and Local) Community Development Studies. He is delighted by his new experience in Jerusalem. He came to Jerusalem at the same time the Authentic Word Ministry-Zion Temple Celebration Center (AWM-ZTCC) started the process to open a liaison office in Jerusalem, Israel.
Felix: “The reason I wanted to study Glocal Community Development (one of the international programs at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem) was to learn from development experiences around the world. More particularly, I wanted to learn from Israel communities and bring back the expertise for the benefit of our communities.
As a permanent and committed member of AWM-ZTCC in Rwanda-Gatenga (Naphtal Family), I’m extremely pleased that AWM has opened an office in this wonderful country which has many historical things for me to explore as Christian. More significantly, here I have the privilege of being a witness to the deeds of the Kingdom of God before our Lord Jesus Christ returns. Because there is now a AWM-ZTCC Office in Jerusalem, I will personally benefit from learning more about some of the signs that Israel indicates and act accordingly. What is special is that brethren in different countries where AWM-ZTCC operates will be in one way or another connected to the countdown of the End Times. My hope is that this will inspire many to take responsibility to be carriers of the Kingdom of God around the world as seen in Mathew 24:14.”
The Rain Is Back!
After a long period of heat and dryness in the summer, rain began to fall here in Israel. “But the land you are crossing the Jordan to take possession of is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks rain from heaven” (Deuteronomy 11: 11). Although the rains are very good, in some places there were very large amounts of rainfalls and that caused flooding and power outages. There were lots of rainfalls even in the deserts of the country, and the water flowed in the dry riverbeds.
Sadly, the hostility continues. It seems that the terror attacks might continue for a long time. Stabbings, overrides, and sometimes shooting continue to take place every day by Palestinian terrorists. When the wave of hostile events began in September, most of the attacks occurred in Jerusalem. Currently most of the attacks occur mainly in the Hebron area and Gush Etzion. These areas are located in the Judean Mountains. There were some stabbing attacks also in the center of Israel – and they affected tremendously the feeling of security in the people her in Israel.
The main Palestinian claim (which is false) is that Al-Aqsa Mosque is threatened by the Israelis and they must therefore protect it. As a result, there were meetings mediated by US Secretary of State, John Kerry, and it was decided to continue with the same status quo that has existed at the Temple Mount since 1967 (when Israel liberated Jerusalem during the Six Day War). The status quo means that only Muslims are allowed to worship and pray there publicly, and others (including Jews) can visit but cannot have any religious activity.
In order to ensure implementation, King Abdullah (King of Jordan) will be monitoring these cameras. It is important to note that at some point the cameras will be accessible on the Internet and all of us will be able to watch the Temple Mount. Let us remember that Satan makes every effort to rule in Jerusalem, knowing that here, in Jerusalem, is the key to the salvation of the world through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
Israeli Arabs Join ISIL
An Arab-Israeli recently crossed the border in the Golan Heights to Syria using a windsurfer in order to join the Muslim ISIL. During the past two years about 50 Israeli Arabs (Israeli citizens) left Israel and infiltrated into Syria through Turkey in order to join the murderous organization. The Arab street condemns this phenomenon, but it shows that religious extremism does exist among Israeli Arabs. Ten of these Israeli Arabs returned back to Israel and were detained for questioning.
A CORNER OF BEAUTIFUL ISRAEL
The Salt Sea (The Dead Sea)
The Dead Sea is a beautiful and unique lake in the Land of Israel. It is mentioned in the Scriptures 13 times with three different names: The Salt Sea, The Sea Of Arabah (steppe), and The Eastern Sea. The Dead Sea is known to be the lowest point on earth, 400 meters below sea level. It is extremely salty – because no water flow out of the lake – and therefore there is no life in it at all. For comparison: the ratio of salt to water in the oceans is about 3 percent, but in The Dead Sea it is 33 percent.
The Dead Sea is a part of the very long geographic trench – The Great Rift Valley – which is approximately 6,000 kilometers in length. It begins in Syria and runs down all the way to Mozambique in South Africa. The Dead Sea lies in a desert region where there are almost no rainfalls. Around the lake there are several fresh water springs. The most famous one is the oasis of Ein Gedi. This place is mentioned in the Bible: “David went to Ein Gedi when he fled from King Saul” (1 Samuel 23:29). The Dead Sea is a symbol of death due to the lack of life in it. This is where God judged Sodom and Gomorrah for their sins (south of the Dead Sea stands Mount Sodom – a mountain that is made of salt!). But where there is death, God can show His bravery and great grace! When the Messiah Jesus will return to Jerusalem in order to reign upon the earth, water will come out of the Temple Mount and flow into the Dead Sea, and then the water of the Dead Sea will be healed and the fish will flourish there!
“He said to me, this water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, where it enters the Dead Sea. When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh. Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live. Fishermen will stand along the shore; from En Gedi to En Eglaim there will be places for spreading nets. The fish will be of many kinds—like the fish of the Mediterranean Sea.”
-Ezekiel 47: 8-10

4. Pray for the body of Messiah in Israel: that we can stand firm against the evil forces of darkness at this time.
5. Pray against the fear that this terror is spreading among the people.
6. Pray for the work of Authentic Word Ministries in Israel and the new office in Jerusalem.
7. Pray for Brother Felix: that he would succeed with his studies and be an effective tool in the service of the Lord Jesus.
8. Pray that more and more Israelis will look up to the Lord Jesus and ask for His salvation.
